I love his toes! But I should stop taking pictures of his feet and cut them nails, huh?
My New ‘Do
June 25, 2006
I thought I’d post some pics of myself since there aren’t ANY of me on our new blog. Anyways, here’s my new haircut. I asked my stylist for something “mullet-y” and this is what I got:

Whoops.
June 18, 2006
Actually, that’s not what I said after I hit the car in front of me Friday on my way home from work (I won’t write here what I said). This was your typical get-hit-and-run: the car I hit didn’t bother to stick around, he took off! This leads me to believe that he must be an extremely dangerous criminal, probably a serial kiler, because why wouldn’t he stick around to get the damages to his car paid for?
So basically, there was one accident in front of me (on the 101 in Montecito). Everyone slammed on their brakes, including me. I made the skid marks to prove it! Unfortunately, it just wasn’t quite good enough. Fortunately, my coworker Chris stopped by with a camera for the photo shoot. What a crappy way to end the week, huh?

The food’s always better outside
June 17, 2006
Plus, Kai is much happier outside, so you might actually get to eat it! These are a little over a month old, I just never had a chance to post them until now.

Baby’s Got Stunts
June 7, 2006
People constantly warn me: “Babies grow up so fast!” Everyday, I’m learning how fast that really is. This is what I walked in on one day:

Trying to stand! He’s growing up too fast! NOOOOOOOO!!!

Memorial Day Weekend Fun
June 7, 2006
Since we had a long weekend, we thought hey, why not visit Ryan’s family in Clovis? The drive was long, but well worth it. I had a blast catching up on sleep, attending the temple, and always having someone else to watch Kai. But I think Kai had the most fun overall!
He got to play in the grass…

…cool his feet in the pool…

…take his very first sink bath, and…

…jam with daddy at the piano!

A Last Minute Trip up to San Jo (April 1, 2006)
June 7, 2006
In April, we made a trip up to San Jose to visit my lola in the hospital, who has been diagnosed with carcinoid cancer. On the way up, we stopped in SLO for a friend’s photo exhibit.
At the photo exhibit on the beach:

Kai with his great-grandpa (sometimes he looks so putay, other times totally filipino):
