I’m a wannabe hair-cutter…

…and failed miserably. Next time, I’ll leave the hair-cutting to Ryan.

Yeah, Kai hates it. But I still think it’s better than that baby-mullet he’s been sporting around lately.
Happy Thanksgiving
November 27, 2006
Auntie Josie and Uncle Allan were so kind to host Thanksgiving at their home in San Jose. Soooooo glad we didn’t have to do the 8-hour drive up to Sacramento, like we did for Christmas last year. My mom’s entire family was there–everyone from Lolo and Lola, down to great-grandkids Alaeshya and Kai. We kicked off lunch with some yummy hors d’ oeuvres prepared by Auntie Josie, Auntie Gin, and Uncle Allan. Mmmm, getting hungry just looking at the pictures. Thanksgiving lunch was a “typical” feast with, you know, the usual stuff: turkey, mashed potatoes, roast beef, rice, diniguan.
I thought Kai and Alaeshya (his cuz) would have more fun playing with each other, but they were all little miss and mister independent. They interacted only when they were fighting over a toy. Needless to say, it was fun seeing my family.

After lunch, we drove another 2 1/2 hours to Fresno to spend the rest of Thanksgiving weekend with Ryan’s family. I had so much fun being a bum, I forgot to take pictures. All I have is this one that Lindy took right before we left, me all junky in my mom pants.

We always have such a great time visiting Clovis. Lots of laughing–though usually at the expense of someone. Kai got tons of attention (of course) and Ryan and I even got to go on a movie date.
What you say?
November 25, 2006
Kai has so much to say these days. Amidst the baby-babble are some audible words.
Daaaaaa, DA, or dada: Dada (duh!)
Cheeee, or chee-ju: Jesus
Dat: cat
Tcheeee: tree
And most requested (and most denied): Mama

Sorry his b-day money wasn’t spent on something more edu-ma-cational, but he really likes his “ball house.”

Haha, I like his crazy “Einstein” hair.
