These pictures buoy me up at a time I feel particularly bogged down. I seem to have a zillion projects hanging over my head. And those projects don’t even include housework. But they may include catching up on Heroes and The Office.

Oh, and before I sign off. Tonight, at the critical hour of 7pm, Kai was winding up and up (as usual) and being his crazy self. Dancing around the living room he sang,

“Deeee-DO! Dee-Do!”

On and on (we kind of tune him out after a while),

“Deeee-DO! Dee-Do!

Silence. Then again,

Ryan and I nearly died trying to hold our laughter in. After we recovered, Ryan casually asked, “Wow, Kai. What was that? What did you just say?” We braced ourselves for his response, but Kai just sang out,

And that was the end of that.

That is so stinkin funny…. I love how you handled it, too. These are the days that make blogging so much darn fun.

Phew! That was close. You never know what’s going to come out of their mouths.

We were watching a youtube video. I thought it was all innocent b/c it was listed as a funniest babies montage. Well…there was one still that a baby giving a hand gesture with the words saying “f*** milk, …” — he had just started reading and well, what do you know, he pronounced the word correctly. I had to say something and he had a hard time getting the word out of his head that evening. Lesson learned – preview youtube videos before sharing with the kids.

    Office absolutely take priority!

And GREAT handling the “B” word. How could you not crack up for hours on that one?

Somehow it doesn’t sound quite so bad when it comes out of a child’s mouth. We’ve had lots of laughs like this at our house. I was shocked, you know and then I’m like “Where’d you hear that word?” Thinking to myself that’s great, your dad is teaching you swear words. Of course, the response is “From you mom.” Gotta love having your kids repeat what you say.

Ok, so that just makes me crack up because it happened this week at our house too! I am a big fan of Barenaked Ladies and they have a song called “A”. You know, A is for Apple, etc. Well, at the end of the song, A is for AS@HOLE! Charlie started saying it when we heard it in the car and I changed the song immediately. That night he started saying it while he was in the bath and Brian and I laughed so hard! Charlie just kept saying it over and over and giggling.

Thanks a lot to one of my favorite bands for teaching my kid his first bad word!!!!

    Miss you guys!
