All the Pretty Colors
June 11, 2009

Stacie and I went down to the LA garment district today, and I was reminded of what a simple girl I am. Because when I die and get to heaven, presumptuously assuming I’m going to heaven, I’d gladly choose to move into a warehouse full of ribbon and trim over a mansion, any day. Wait. Unless that mansion is a Marmol Radziner prefab. Hm. My brain is now hurting by this hypothetical.

I had so much fun! We’ll have to do it again!
Those flowers are too cute, the colors are absolutely adorable!
Soooo fun! Oh, the time I spent there with my mom when I was a girl! Priceless!
Yes… I am lovin’ the prefab too!
Cool! Didn’t even know such a place existed. Where have I been?
P.S. Only you would look good in skinny jeans!
That’s my idea of Heaven too!
Okay, so what are you going (or not going) to make?
If it turns out good, I’ll post it!
Holy moly! Your bag of fabric is overflowing! My first (and possibly “only”) trip to the garment district was way too overwhelming for me. I wasn’t prepared at all and after a while everything started to look the same.
I love prefabs too. So far, my favorite is Michelle Kaufamann (http://www.mkd-arc.com/). So beautiful!
Scratch that. It’s “Kaufmann.” Pardon my typo.
:)
Hey, I was in the fashion district with two of my cohorts last Thursday picking fabrics for a show! I love it. I will miss you, LA fashion district.
PS I love your blog, and you are awesome.
Jamie, I wish I had run into you since you guys will be leaving Cali soon!
