Another installment of ‘I love this town’

Ryan and I finally got around to watching Little Miss Sunshine last night. Seeing all the scenes where they’re in ‘Redondo beach’ (actually filmed here in Ventura) made me realize we don’t get down there as much as we should. So, to the Promenade the boys and I went.
And yes, I felt like a nerdy tourist snapping shots with my camera. But the weather and lighting was too gorgeous to resist.

I never get tired of seeing picture of that pier.
I totally had a “Jenn” moment at the market today. I had the double stroller in my trunk, a cart full of groceries, Maddie in the sling and Katie by my side and of course this guy decides to wait for me.
After about 5 minutes when I was still strategically placing groceries in my trunk (baby still in the sling) he gave up on me.

I happened upon your site while purusing my friend Stephanie’s and your pics. Without reading I instantly knew it was Ventua because that’s where I grew up and my family still resides. We were just there hanging at the playground by the peer a matter of weeks ago. I’m LDS too and my parents are members of the 4th ward (The Pynes). I thought Ventura was one of my little secret places. I miss it.
