Cleavage in the house.

So I just discovered the Polaroid app for the iPhone and went a little picture crazy this morning. I took images of my so-called “happy corners.” Do you have those too? Little pockets around your home that are especially pretty and bring serenity now? My emotional stability depends on those corners. I am exaggerating.

For my birthday this year, I would like to sweep the piles of envelopes, and papers, and catalogs, and magazines. Off. My. Desk. Into a trash can. And not even give it a second thought. Same with vacuuming. Would be a treat to run the vacuum without having to pick up Lego pieces, or marbles, or army men. My vacuum would just take it all away.

From writing this, I realized I must have been harboring a subconscious-but-now-conscious desire to spring clean. Blogging: it’s the new self psycho-analysis!

    So…I read your title and looked at the first photo and thought “yeah, that DOES kind of look like cleavage” then I tried to pick out what “cleavage” the other photos must be referring to. By the end I realized that’s not what you meant by “cleavage”. Sorry. ;)

    ditto on the spring cleaning and also on wishing I could sweep all of my paper piles into the trash.

    I do have little areas I love. Unfortunately there are more general areas I don’t love than the ones I do. I was feeling similar, and just did a purge — multiple bags of toys, clothes and other random things… gone, man it felt good.

    I’d love to see more of your house; it looks fantastic. I want to have more little areas that I love. I’m in the midst of a spring-cleaning purge but I still have a lot of decorating to do.

    so fun. all i have is corners, because my house is huge. when i can afford to expand my corners into actual rooms, i will let you know.

    Ha! I have said that I would trash things for years… good luck with that:-) I’ll have to download that app, it looks really cool.
