diy mother’s day
May 11, 2009
One of the things I really wanted this mother’s day was to make a Lizzie Fortunato-ish necklace or bracelet. Of course that entails me going to the craft store alone and some quiet time piecing my spoils together. Heaven! So here is my knock-off prototype.

And here’s the real deal.
And lastly, mother’s day isn’t quite over for me yet — I’ve asked Ryan to take me to Sprinkles this Friday. I hear it’s supposed to change your life. My own homemade cupcakes are pretty kick-a*$, so I better not be disappointed!

I actually like yours best! It is so cute! Good job!
Will you bring me one back???? You are so crafty my friend. Shoot I need to bust out some cinnamon rolls for you so you can make d a shirt you artistic lady.
have to say, yours it definitely the best ~ hands down. so clever you.
I LOVE the bracelet you made….any chance I could purchase one from you? If so, cost including postage to Australia would be great. If not, any idea where I could buy one similar without the Fortunato price tag?
Love your Blog by the way.
Bridget :)
Sell them! I’d buy one. Yours is fab.
Bridget, Amber, I’m not sure if I’d sell them or not. I’ve never made jewelry before, so the quality isn’t as good as I’d like it to be! I definitely need to practice some before I feel comfortable putting them up for sale.
As for affordability, Lizzie Fortunato will be doing a line for Urban Outfitters. I think the article I linked to said they will be available in July.
Your bracelet is way better! Get your Etsy shop going…
YUM! I’d like a marshmallow dark chocolate cupcake please:-)
I liked yours better. Good job, like always Jenn.
i would never be able to tell the difference between the real and yours. it looks darn close! watch out lizzie fortunato, jen kirk is on the rise!!!
i love it!
Very cute…I love the colors you used!
Enjoy your trip to Sprinkles! My husband and I tried to stop by when we were in the area a few weeks back but the line was long and I wasn’t in the mood to wait. I’m hoping to make it there one day. I hear good things though about those cupcakes!
Line out of Sprinkles? Uh-oh. We will have the kids in tow, so I am not planning on standing in any line. Crazy.
nicely done. Seriously, your talent is endless lady.
Looks just like the real thing! Great job!!
The line out the door was due to it being Valentine’s Day…I just remembered:) We were at the temple for a sealing and thought we’d stop by since we were so close. So it probably won’t be that busy for you guys.
Sweet bracelet, it really looks like the real deal!!
