Dude, Mom. Nursing was sooooo last week.

February 28, 2007

The seemingly eternal well of milk has dried up, so to speak. It has been more than a week since I last breastfed Kai, and he hasn’t looked back since. I do confess, however, that there was one evening where I thought “Wah! I want to nurse! Wah, I want a baby!”

I got over that quickly (blame it on yet ANOTHER hormonal shift), but it is very sad no longer hearing a request for “nya-nya,” Kai’s endearing term for milk.

But my baby is all grown up now, and has moved on to gorging out on peas, edamame, and raisins.

Our next mission: getting homeboy to let us brush the peas, edamame, and raisins off his teeth.*

* Update: So this whole pregnancy thing explains WHY my “well” ran dry and the wah-wah moments of me wanting a wee one!

Kai seems to be close in line with Mr. G. The screaming break downs, not letting momma brush his teeth…the only difference is that my kiddo still begs for the “nya-nya”

    Oh dear! SOS!

Yeah, those tantrums are tough to deal with. We go through so many, I’m just like, “Okay, do your thing. Let me know when you’re finished.”

But what I can’t get over is him pooping FIVE times a day. UGH!

No KIDDING, Shirley! I think I “thought” myself pregnant!

Wow, the mind is so powerful!
