Giveaway: Furniture Makeovers Book

July 26, 2013

Furniture Makeovers

I recently worked on my first (amateur) refinish, so the timing felt perfect when Chronicle Books invited me to take part in their latest blog tour!

Barb Blair is the founder of Knack Studios and also a miracle-worker with furniture pieces that are past their prime. Her book, Furniture Makeovers, has over 26 techniques to transform old furniture and 30 examples of before-and-after makeovers with instructions on how to do it yourself.

If you’re interested in getting your hands on a free copy along with a tote back from Knack Studios, just leave a comment below! Giveaway closes next Saturday, August 3rd at midnight EST. Good luck!

I was just looking for this book tonight at my local B&N! (They didn’t have it.) I need some Ultimate Refinishing Wisdom and Help. My kitchen table surface and I would be eternally grateful for this book. Pick me!

Could absolutely use the inspiration to DIY and personalise some lovely pieces for our place – we moved into our current house three years ago and still haven’t finished “moving in” and making it our home.

I love a good furniture makeover! We painted and updates a bunch of old furniture from my grandparents’ house and parents’ garage before we moved. It was a lot of work, but so worth it in the end! I would love to have a copy of this book to get some more ideas!

I loved how your sideboard turned out and I could definitely use some motivation when it comes to refinishing. (I say this as someone whose bathroom cabinets doors have been removed and waiting to be refinished for over a year. Gulp)
