Good Thing the Weather Here is Good

January 18, 2009

Because it almost makes up for the fact that our state will be giving us a nice, fat I-O-U this spring instead of a tax refund.

Yeah, we have nice weather too! And I’m not looking forward to the 10% paycut starting Feb 1, as a lucky state employee. Positive thoughts, maybe it won’t happen afterall, even the IOUs.

ahhhh, california…….i am truly sad for the state employees who are being penalized for working for the government, too. what a bummer. hopefully one day VERY soon our governor and legislature can figure out this mess.

You have an adorable blog. I was raised in Orange County and I miss it there…luckily my parents are still there for free vacations. We are now raising Arizona kids. Crazy!

Kent’s so mad about the IOU thing he’s been checking out real estate in Arizona. I don’t want to move, but the thought of living in a real house is tempting…

I do envy your weather, but Yikes! I’m not sure I could deal with all that business!

Jennifer, thank you! We were in Mesa for a few days after Christmas, and it seemed like such a family-friendly place to live.

Cecilia, believe me, we’ve thought many times about Colorado! Maybe one day…

Krista, it is so sucky that you state workers are forced to take unpaid days off. I sincerely hope that the situation only gets better for all the state workers. So ironic that glitzy, beautiful California is so deep in the red.
