Happy Thanksgiving!

gratitude-holga

A break and extra time with my family is finally here! Because of new jobs, we haven’t had two days in a row off, and a real weekend — the kind where you laze around in bed and is a glasses/no makeup/no contacts day — in more than a month.

And be sure to check out the Poppytalk Handmade market on Friday. There will lots of Black Friday deals, for those of you not down with the idea of going to Kohl’s at 4am. Reeeeeally Kohls, reeeeeallly? But I will be offering a buy 1 item, get the second (lesser one) at 1/2 off deal. This Friday only.

Lastly, I have a guest post over at Tangled & True about a gratitude journal Kai and I have been working on.

Now let us commence carbo-loading.

Your post over at Tangled & True is fabulous. What a sweet journal you made with Kai!

I love your handwriting, too. It’s really cute.

I LOVE this idea and am stealing it as a lead-up to Christmas. Fun seeing you in our cars…too bad one minute of convo wasn’t more like one hour to catch-up. Hope all is busy but great!

I just wanted to drop by and let you know that I’ve linked to gift tags/labels that you designed. The post is located here http://burdart.blogspot.com/2009/11/free-printable-artist-made-gift-tags.html There is also a text only post for slower connections just below it. Thank you for sharing your art so freely. I would love it if you would let me know if you have designed other tags or labels that should be included. And please, by all means, share this post. Stamp out store tags! ;)

I hear ya on the Kohls thing. There aren’t many stores (maybe none) that I’d stand out in front of in the wee hours of the morning and Kohls is definitely NOT one of them.

    The gratitude journal is precious.
