But we just got back from Hollywood after seeing:
Heat, crowds, energy, and too-loud music. That is what concerts are made of. We’ve gone way too long without, but tonight we got our fix.
I was really happy to be between two huge Mates fans that were seriously rocking out (which more than made up for the rest of the dead audience). What’s up with the kids not getting into the music, anyways? Whatevs, we still had a great time.
Now let’s hear some indie-goodness, shall we?

We were standing behind Excited Fan and his friend. They would look at each other whenever the Mates started a new song as if it was a great, wonderful surprise. =)
I found your cute blog by Googling Mates of State to find blog posts about last night. It’s a habit of mine to see who else was out there.
The central valley geezer group still remembers how to rock! At least at the Foreigner concert last week they still remembered. It was fun! ahh… memories of the good ‘ole days, late 70′s, early 80′s it’s really fun how music can take you back.
