Jaunt to Long Beach
October 2, 2009
Ryan had Thursday off to make up for an extra day at work this week, so we went down to Long Beach for fun. Still can’t believe everything we managed to pack into the day; Saw the ship the Queen Mary, went on an old Russian submarine, drove through the incredible Port of Long Beach as well as through Retro Row (vintage shopping galore), picked up some supplies for my Etsy shop, visited the beach, ate at Five Guys and a frozen yogurt place, and lastly Ikea, because us Venturans would never miss out on a chance to drop into Ikea if we happen to drive right by it. Plus, it’s tradition to pick up a couple of packages of pretty napkins.

What great photos. It looks like it was a great trip!
Great pictures. Love those action shots!
Love your boys jumping in feet first. What a great shot!
Fun! Love the jumping pictures.
You are so good about driving down there — I loathe doing that drive and am always trying to avoid it. But, south is chockful of culture so I am resolved to do it more so I can show the girls more.
Love the pic of Dax walking with Dad — something about a 2-yr old looking serious that always makes me smile.
Love the jumping pictures. Fun!
Looks like an awesome day! Beautiful weather for it!
Fionna want to see the Queen Mary soo bad… Lots of Titanic stuff around here because many of those who survived were brought here and I have heard there are four graveyards in Halifax for Titanic victims… Anyway this has sparked an intrested and of course the ship she wants to see is in California! Telling her we saw it on our way out to Catalina is just not cutting it! :)
Great pics of a great day Jenn!
