More Aquarium – Guy Post from Ryan

November 18, 2007

Did we mention that at the Long Beach Aquarium, you get to PET SHARKS WITH YOUR BARE HANDS? Not to mention the sea lions, otters, and seals. First, how about some jellyfish:

Their tentacles (which had to be about five feet long) were all tangled up with each other and other jellyfish’s. I guess nobody wanted the job of untangling that mess.

They had three giant pools about two feet deep, filled with sharks, sting rays, and the like. You could pet anything you wanted with your bare hands. Poor Kai couldn’t quite get his arm down far enough though:

I, on the other hand, was stoked to pet the hammerhead and other sharks:

Isn’t she a cool mama?

I couldn’t help but include this shot of Kai, because it so him. -Ryan

I love the hair also. It is a good look for you. I also love the baby carrier. Where did you find such a hip accessory? Please don’t tell me you made it.
I love the blog, Kai and Dax are adorable. I can’t believe Kai is so big. I wish we were close so they could play.

Annie! Long time no see! I bought the carrier off a friend, but you can customize your own at http://www.babyhawk.com. Ha, I wish I could sew one myself, but I’m way to sloppy.

I can’t believe how big our boys have gotten. Saw all the pics of Miles on your blog. The last (and first!) time I saw him, he was a teeny tiny thing!
