My Kids Love the Scriptures to Pieces
June 23, 2008
When I opened up my scriptures yesterday, the thing nearly fell apart in my hands. Kai had done his fair share of ripping, wrinkling, and re-arranging when he was much younger, but now Dax has decided to take on the profession of scripture editing. Chapters of Isaiah are now found in the New Testament, chunks of the book of Alma are permanently lost (eaten for spiritual nourishment, perhaps?), and the index is no longer an index. My set looks terrible…almost to the point of sacrilege, you think?

To Mommy,
The re-mixed version of the four standard works.
Love, Dax and Kai
Fact of the matter is, my children are hell-bent on destroying my home. This particular weekend was so bad, I vowed to move in with Kai when I’m an old, senile, cat-crazy widow so I can spend my days finger-painting the fridge with cream cheese, rubbing clean laundry on the cat, tearing apart the beds, and driving toy cars through my lunch.

You always make me laugh.
I understand the phase…terrible 2′s don’t exist, it’s the terrible 3′s. This last week alone here is what my couch went through…
1. marker attack
2. smashed eggs
3. a half gallon of finger paint
Help!
SORRY JENN! I’ts taken me forever to get a comment on your blog. You are always so good to leave a little snippet on mine. I’ve been checking I promise. It’s been a crazy week.
I am sorry about your scriptures. Today I had to take gum out of the carpet with ice and scissors. It’s a boy thing.
Oh my! I am laughing so hard! I even read this aloud to Claron. My mom threatens to come and live with us when she’s “old and crazy” and refuse to wear clothes like I did when I was two. I’m sure the neighbors will love us!
hahaha! this is such a funny/cute post! I guess this is what I have to look forward to with my little one! I’m linking you to my page I hope that’s alright with you! lifeasanew-man.blogspot.com
