Pregnancy Rant
October 1, 2007

I’m only one month away from my due date and I’m hoping the last four weeks will go by just as quickly as my entire pregnancy. Because month nine is what I term the “ugly” month: swollen extremities, rapid weight gain, waddling, and a belly projecting outward two miles. A belly projecting so far out, a woman at church asked if I was overdue. Another woman instructed Ryan to not come near me with any sharp objects because (now say it with me) I. Might. Pop.
I should be grateful that I don’t yet have the burden of waking every two hours to feed and change a newborn, buuuut…not having a belly that rests on my thighs when sitting would be great. Just four more weeks, I tell myself, just four more weeks, but I’m fading fast. Good thing “pregnancy glow” comes in a mirrored compact by Cover Girl.

I know exactly what you mean dear! Although after 4 c-sections the belly resting in your thighs thing doesn’t go away. I hate the last month. I think we have to be tired of being pregnant so that we are willing to go through labor. Hang in there, you are almost there!
See that now :) Just like when I had you and your brother Franco. Actually @ 6 mos of my pregnancy with you I was ready to “pop out” with you and I was wobbling along on the “el” in Chicago going to work.
Thanks for the moral support! And Mimi, I totally agree with you about a purpose to the 9th (or 8th…or 7th) month misery!
Jen, hang in there. I mean it isn’t like you can go anywhere anyways. I too hope it goes by fast for you!!:)
Jenn, your belly is too cute. I know you must be thinking “oh please she is just trying to be nice”. Really you look great, skinny arms and cute belly. You do pregnancy well!
I can’t believe you only have 4 more weeks! Time flies by, we are so happy for you!
Keep us updated!
Much love,
Sarah
I put your pregnant picture on the desktop of my computer at work :-) We’ve had two babies in the last month and two more go before Thanksgiving. You tie in cuteness with the former 49er cheerleader who teaches kindergarten and is expecting her first! You are looking good!
Yo hon, you look good, I promise!
And yet another comment…
