Fifty invitations done and ready to go. Unfortunately, I made the crucial mistake of forgetting to change “Tea Party” to “Ladies Luncheon.”
Well, there you have it. The Mormons are having a tea party.

Those invitations are so cute. It looks like you put in a lot of time and effort.
That’s hilarious! Hey, all the more reason to come to it! hahah
What the heck, you’re a convert! (That’s one way to get out of doing it again!)
Good to hear from you, Jen. Congratulations on the new edition to your family, Dax. Love the name. I love the invitations, as well. You have great style!
I couldn’t agree more! Jay and I always joke now that ever since we got married we’ve become “OLD” people because we can’t stay up late for some reason, and all we want to do is relax, talk, and go to bed. And we don’t even have kids. hahah. Yeah, those singletons are missing out!!
Those are so cute! Katherine and I host a tea party at our house every year….sounds like it will be fun! Even if it was supposed to be a “ladies luncheon”
What’s wrong with a tea party? ;)We are having a tea party in our branch, but we are going to call it a “uni tea” (unity) party. We’ll serve herbal teas and lemonade. That’s how I found your blog- I googled RS tea party. I just scrolled down though one page on your blog- all of your RS events look great. Beautiful work. I was just called as a RS pres of a really small branch. Our activities are nowhere near as elaborate! But, I love what you have done! Glad to see we aren’t the only RS sisters having tea parties!
Hi Brooke,
Thanks for leaving the comment. We were crushed when the Bishopric came back and told our RS president that the tea party wasn’t appropriate. The enrichment committee was really excited about the idea, but a sister caught wind of our plans, and spoke to the bishop privately on how she’d be “uncomfortable at such an event.”
But good luck with your unity party! It sounds like such a lovely idea and the name is really creative. And if you’re doing lemonade, a woman in our ward once did lavendar-flavored lemonade. I think she got the recipe from the Martha Stewart site.
