the accidental comedian

Don’t children have the best comedic timing? The most obscene things come out of their little mouths at the most inappropriate times. We weren’t even five minutes into the lesson during Kai’s first day in Primary (church Sunday school for children) before he began yelling, and I mean, truly yelling, “I don’t want to get baptized! I don’t WANT to get baptized!”
Our newest mantra around here: “Do NOT. Let Kai. See you. Laugh.”

Love the title of your post. That is the truth…my moments occur in the check out line usually behind the person my kids are talking about, in a not so quiet voice. Kind of stuck. And yes, never let them see you laugh. They remember.
That is hysterical. I love how kids are so funny without even knowing it or trying at all… usually it is at the most inappropriate times too! Good laughs!
I can’t wait til Asher gets to that age.
That is a funny story, and Kai is beautiful. Great picture.
Love being reminded that this doesn’t just happen to me…
At least you’re capturing it so you can remember it later.
Great picture of the little man.
I love Primary shout outs. We were doing a “game show” on Father’s Day and asked a little girl what her dad was most afraid of and without missing a beat told it he is most afraid of her mom. It was way too funny!
Whitney, that is hilarious! This is my son’s first year in Primary, so I had no idea what were in for. The children in there are out-of-control funny!
I love it! Hopefully the people around you realized that he is just exercising his free agency and broad vocabulary. Ty has told us he doesn’t want to get baptized, as well. He is afraid of doing “bobs” under the water. I’m sure he will forget… at least by the time he is 6, ..or 7,..or 8…
