Since my original due date was only a rough estimate, my midwife scheduled an ultrasound today to more precisely narrow down my due date. I’m excited to share that I’m 11-weeks along, instead of only 9 like my midwife originally estimated. My new due date is November 2, two weeks after Kai’s b-day on October 24! Ha, the kids will have to deal with joint birthdays!
It was so wonderful seeing the baby and hearing the heartbeat for the first time. All of a sudden, this pregnancy feels more real. Having done the whole pregnancy thing before, I was surprised I got all teary-eyed as I watched this new little being wiggle it’s arms, wave, and kick around. I can’t wait until my next ultrasound at 20 weeks, where we find out if it’s boy or girl. I’m thinking girl this time, since I’m so much more sick with this pregnancy. Bets, anyone?

oh man!! this is a tough one because it seems to be in the kirk blood to have two boys. but i’m gonna say girl. hmm…
