Up to My Ears in Party Stuff
October 23, 2008

Kai turns 3 on Friday. Dax turns 1 next Monday. And the party (of which I’m probably thinking way too hard about) is this Saturday. I’ll probably be gone for a few days. So let me leave you with San-Francisco-based Scissors for Lefty.

I have a similar situation with my girls but they are a month apart. You’ll have to give me some tips because I haven’t started planning a thing and the birthday for the to-be three year old is next week!
i love the tissue paper balls. i am definitely gonna use a lot of those someday for some party. happy birthday to your two little ones!!!
Happy Birthday Guys!! My little one`s first birthday is also coming up next week :O
Parties are so fun! October is the month in this family!! Happy Birthday Boys!
We bypassed having a party this year for Alina’s birthday, instead we went to Disneyland. Don’t get too caught up in the party stuff, just remind yourself they’re young and have many more birthdays ahead of them. My sister-in-law has four kids and three of them have the same birthday, and none of them are multiples.
Have fun at the boys’ party. I’m sure it will be spectacular. Can’t wait to see pics.
btw, I used to have that tv/record player when I ws little. I loved it!
Happy Birthday Kai and Dax!
Thanks, everyone!
Kelly, I don’t have any great tips for you, other than do the big party thing only (and only) every other year. As much fun as it is, it’s so much work. I’m exhausted!
Bmommy, another October birthday! What’s up with this month? I have three other family members whose b-days are October. Must be the cozy winter months of January/February, if you know what I mean.
happy almost party day! good luck, and look forward to the sigh of relief that comes when it’s done- I felt that way and I only had one. -keely
Jenn,
Thank you so much for your comment on my Prop 8 post. I was a little reluctant to post it on my crafting blog (rather than my family blog…which I did also) but decided it would reach a broader non-mormon audience.
It’s been interesting to see how emotional this topic is for everyone, on all sides. At times, I’m not sure how to respond so honestly, thanks for stating things so perfectly. I used some of your words in my own response.
Bummer we don’t live closer. I know you’d be a fun mom in the ward to hang out with!
If you ever move to Pasadena…? :)
